Click-Through Rate (CTR)

Click-through rate measures how many people click on your link, ad, or call-to-action compared to how many see it. If your post reaches 10,000 people and 200 click your link, that's a 2% CTR. On ads, anything above 1% is decent; above 2% is good; above 5% is excellent (though this varies by platform and industry).

CTR reveals whether your messaging resonates and your call-to-action is compelling. Low CTR with high reach means people see your content but aren't interested enough to act. This could mean poor targeting, weak copywriting, unclear value proposition, or unappealing creative.

Improving CTR is about alignment: match your message to your audience's desires, make your benefit crystal clear, create urgency or curiosity, and make clicking easy. Test different CTAs: "Shop Now" vs. "Learn More" can yield dramatically different results. CTR is one of the most actionable metrics—it directly tells you whether your content motivates people to take the next step. Drive more clicks with targeted engagement from GTRsocials.
